Sorry for the long time no post... I'm still alive, still making the rugs.
I have a new video camera, and I might even have someone who can use it to shoot a video while I do a rug. I know my previous videos often left much (almost everything) to be desired... its really impossible to shoot a good video in a room dark enough for a migraineur, on a tripod, while you're hoping what you're doing is in any way visible.
Better camera, have well lit places to shoot, and friends to help me now, so... post a comment or send me an email about what you'd like to see, and it'll be my pleasure to work on it.

I was wondering over this July 4th weekend past...Have you ever made anything patriotic?
I'm sure that would be an interesting one and the textures and patterns you could use are limitless! :)
Good idea... my mother and I think my sister have. I generally am not fond of really bright, high contrast patterns... I only do them by request or commission. (I'm still finishing one rug which is very bright pink... and when its done, I'm putting a 10 year / $500 moratorium on working with that color.)
Hmmm I suppose a rug of that nature would only look great once a year anyways. (like a xmas rug). Something i'd never bother with myself.
My favorite colors are green and purple, but i also love the nutrals of greens, browns and yellows/golds for home decor...purple is a bit too customed for me in decor like rugs and bedding and such.
But i do love texture...must be my ADD. I am forever attracted by artwork of different patterns and texture, it seems to be a bit therapeutic for me in a way. the randomness of it all makes sense in my mind.
